My name is Geetha Gopi. I am an artist / art educator who loves introducing kids to the colourful world of art. As an artist I have worked extensively across all mediums and have also explored the nuances of crafts besides fine arts (including traditional Indian art forms like Tanjore, Worli & Madubani).Whilst creating artworks to satisfy my creative acumen, teaching art to young minds has been closest to my heart. A teaching diploma for children aids my qualification in Fine Arts to impart Art education to children of all ages. I began my career as a kindergarten teacher in Avadi, a prominent defense area in the vibrant city of Chennai, India. This early experience ignited my love for teaching and nurturing young minds. Following a period working with the Indian Railways, life took a wonderful turn with marriage and motherhood, bringing me back to my first love—teaching. In 2007, I started my art classes, marking the beginning of my dedicated journey in art education.
